Prehistoric Farm Shovels & Boats: Prices and Unlocks
Two upgrades gate everything in Prehistoric Farm: the shovel decides which islands you can dig, the boat decides which islands you can reach. Both are bought with coins on the home island.
Shovel prices

Source: the shovel shop in recorded play (Jurassic Dinoz, October 2026). The shop answered “you need better shovels. Start digging in different parts” and the player bought Bronze as soon as they hit 2,500. We do not yet know whether the 12,000-coin shovel is the Silver one, so we list them apart. The aquamarine shard note comes from a player question and answer under the same video (October 2026); no footage shows the shard yet.
How you know you need a better shovel: walk up to a fossil on a later island (Jurassic Island in the footage) and the game says “I need a better shovel”. Nothing digs until you upgrade.
Boat prices

Your boat waits at the dock where you left it. If you cannot find it, “launch my boat again” from the dock: the player in the footage boarded the wrong boat once.

Buying order
- Redeem the codes. OGURICAPSORRY’s 10,000 coins covers Bronze plus the boat.
- Bronze shovel. Devonian Island has its own animals (Tiktaalik, Ichthyostega) – see fossil sets.
- Next boat, if trips to the far islands feel slow.
- Save for the 12,000-coin shovel.
Prices come from one recorded session in the first week. Updates can move them. If you see a different price in game, the in-game price is right; tell us through the contact page and we will fix it.
